(Miri, 22nd) The Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) will hold a member representative conference at 10 a.m. on December 1 at the Waterfront Hotel in Kuching, with party secretary-general and Federal Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke, presiding over the opening ceremony.
Sarawak DAP Secretary Alan Ling stated that two conference notices have been issued to branch secretaries and representatives according to party regulations. He hopes that representatives will actively sign up to attend. Members who are not branch representatives can attend the conference as observers.
Attendees can start registering from 9 a.m. on the day of the event, with the conference beginning at 10 a.m. The event will commence with a policy speech by Sarawak DAP Chairman Chong Chieng Jen, followed by an opening speech by Secretary-General Anthony Loke. A luncheon will be provided at noon as part of the agenda.
He disclosed that the conference will be chaired by Johor State Assemblyman Tan Kok Wai, who will act as speaker for the member conference.
Alan Ling hopes that the member conference will connect party members from across Sarawak to discuss party affairs and unite to continue fighting shoulder to shoulder for the party's political struggle, aiming for better performance in the upcoming state election.
