(Malacca, 23rd) Muda leader Rafizi stated that the party is determined to win 15% of voter support in the Melaka state election.
He said this is a crucial step for the party's plan to secure a 20% support rate in the 16th General Election.
He indicated that this goal can be achieved by using digital efficiency, stable grassroots services, and discarding the “traditional command hierarchy” party structure, carrying out a political brand reshaping strategy.
He pointed out that the party's support rate increased from 3% to 6% during the Johor state election, proving that this new political party has the potential to become a “superpower” in Malaysian politics.
“If we can break through a 15% vote share in Melaka, and achieve a 20% vote share nationwide, Muda will automatically become a decisive force, on par with major coalitions such as Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, and Perikatan Nasional.”
“More than 30% of swing voters, tired of high-level political compromises and frequent coalition changes, will regard us as a main choice.”
Rafizi said this on Saturday night (August 22) when attending a National Day celebration event.
On the other hand, he mentioned that Muda has received a total of 300 applications from individuals interested in becoming the party's candidates in Selangor and the Federal Territories.
He said the party is currently conducting internal screening according to guidelines, and will announce the candidate list in advance at a later time.
“We will definitely review each application. Once we have shortlisted candidates, we will meet with them and during the meeting, assess who is most suitable.”
