(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) In order to increase awareness and action against human trafficking in Brunei, the Human Trafficking Investigation Unit (USPM) of the Criminal Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force, held a touring seminar on human trafficking crimes for frontline staff (including hotel managers and employees) at a hotel in Tutong.
The main purpose of this seminar was to educate and enhance participants' awareness of identifying potential victims of human trafficking.
The seminar advised law enforcement agencies and frontline institutions to always remain vigilant in identifying people who may have been lured and exploited as victims of human trafficking.
Cooperation from hotel management and staff plays a crucial role in helping address the issue of human trafficking, and through this means, jointly assist the Brunei police in combating criminal activities.
