(Bandar Seri Begawan, 18th) Teng Yun Temple of Brunei invited the Min Opera Troupe from Xiang'an Folk Opera School in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, to perform for deity thanksgiving. The 10-day performance event successfully concluded last night.
The final performance last night attracted numerous devotees and members of the public, creating a lively scene with an atmosphere both solemn and festive.
Teng Yun Temple Chairman Li Yongzhen attended and presided over the ceremony, presenting certificates of appreciation to the troupe leader and members of the Min Opera Troupe from Xiang'an Folk Opera School in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, the Daoist priest and members from Kaohsiung Zuoying Jifu Tang Xinglong Daotan in Taiwan, as well as members of Brunei Tong Le Rui Lion Dance Troupe, as a token of gratitude.
At the invitation of Teng Yun Temple, troupe members from the Min Opera Troupe of Xiang'an Folk Opera School, Xiamen, Fujian, China, came specially to perform for charity and the deities, jointly conducting rituals and ceremonies with members from Kaohsiung Zuoying Jifu Tang Xinglong Daotan in Taiwan. The event aimed to celebrate the birthday of Guangze Zunwang, the temple deity, on the 22nd day of the eighth lunar month, permeating the atmosphere with strong devotion and cultural spirit.
Also present at last night's certificate presentation ceremony were Acting Chairman Cheng Yongming, Vice Chairmen Lin Dengcai, Lin Dengyuan, Lin Pengguo, Cheng Yongnian, Chen Lirong, Ye Tianfu, Fang Tengzhong, Lin Defu, as well as other board members.
