(Kuching, 5th) A 60-year-old man has gone missing in Engkilili, and the authorities have launched a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department, they received an alert at 7:58pm on Sunday (January 4) and immediately dispatched personnel from the Sri Aman Fire Station to initiate an operation.
The report stated that the missing person is Chin Shin Fah. On Saturday (January 3), he went with his family to Rumah Merio Tambak Engkelili to attend a prayer ceremony.
"At about 11:30pm, the individual was reportedly seen leaving the 'ruai' (communal corridor) of the longhouse and did not return afterwards. After realizing that he was missing, family members and residents of the longhouse immediately began searching for him, but were unable to locate him, and subsequently lodged a police report on Sunday," the report stated.
When last seen, the person was wearing a silver long-sleeved shirt and dark shorts.
