The Global News Channel’s show “Global Panorama” host He Rong has a son and a daughter. His daughter bears a striking resemblance to him, so she decided to test if she could unlock dad’s phone using “face scan” (facial recognition).
Recently, He Rong’s whole family went out to eat. Sitting across from him, his daughter looked at her dad without glasses and said, “I feel like I’m looking into a mirror.” To everyone’s surprise, even after they both had a drink and turned red-faced, they still looked exactly the same—“truly a father and daughter.”
So, He Rong sat next to his daughter and asked his wife to take a picture of them together. Then, out of curiosity, he wondered aloud: “Can my daughter unlock dad’s phone with a face scan (facial recognition)?” He also posted this on Facebook, asking his followers and fans: “What do you think? Did it work?”
After posting, He Rong revealed the test results in the comments: “Even though we father and daughter look so alike, the phone’s facial recognition still didn’t work. She couldn’t unlock it. One possible reason: my daughter is prettier.”
