Cheryl Yang Reveals Next Move After Winning Best Actress – Says She Wants to Be the Taiwanese Kate Winslet

Cheryl Yang, who was crowned this year’s Golden Bell Best Actress, makes a speedy return to the screen with the brand-new series “How Much Do You Love Me,” premiering exclusively on Hami Video starting November 2. This time, she takes on the challenge of playing "Internet celebrity mom" Chen Yi-An, caught between unresolved issues with her own mother while also dealing with two daughters going through rebellious adolescence. Lin Si-ting and Jan Tzu-hsuan play sisters with starkly contrasting personalities; together the three portray the emotional tangle of mother-daughter love that’s "too much to express in words."
In an exclusive interview with Hami Video, Cheryl Yang joked that there was no way to laugh while filming this drama, as the intense conflicts and strained mother-daughter bonds left her saying, "How can anyone smile when relationships are this bad – are they even human?" She described her character as the "filling in a sandwich": caught between old grudges with her mother above, and endless issues with her two daughters below, "Being pulled from both ends and completely burned out."

As for her feelings about playing an internet celebrity mom, she admitted that after filming, she admires those who work as influencers even more. When asked what type she’d pick if she were an influencer in real life, both Lin Si-ting and Jan Tzu-hsuan said "travel influencer," while Cheryl Yang laughed and said she’d be an "adventure influencer" who challenges haunted houses: “I’m actually super timid, I’d just keep screaming!” She also exclaimed: “Influencers are amazing! They have to keep talking to the camera — I couldn’t do it!”
The three have a close rapport off set as well.
