(Sibu, 26th) Retired veterans, seniors, and their families from both domestic and overseas gathered yesterday at Anduki Leisure Park to participate in a heartwarming year-end gathering organized by the “Muzakarah AlaiBN Trip” group.
The co-chairperson of the event organizers, Nuriah, said that the gathering aimed to provide an opportunity for seniors and veterans across the country to socialize, especially during the year-end holidays, encouraging everyone to step out, and share quality time with relatives and friends.
She pointed out: “This joy-filled event included games, activities, and a ‘potluck’ meal, encouraging everyone to use their leisure time to connect with each other, while also giving the younger generation a chance to get close to nature, and to learn respect and companionship for the elders.”
Nuriah added that since the group was formed in 2023, they have organized several similar activities. This year-end gathering also marks a warm conclusion to the year, and she hopes to continue hosting such events in the future, including planning exciting trips across the country.
