(Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th) The swearing-in ceremony for Brunei's new cabinet was held yesterday at Istana Nurul Iman, marking a four-year term to fulfill national duties and responsibilities.
His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei was present to preside over the ceremony.
Those in attendance included Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, Prince Mateen, Prince Abdul Malik, as well as Her Royal Highness Princess Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The first to be sworn in was Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, who will serve as Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and also as Deputy Chairman of the Brunei Vision 2035 Supreme Council.
Next, Prince Abdul Malik was sworn in as a Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation (YSHHB).
Following that, Prince Mateen was sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs and will also continue his service in the military. Prince Mateen will further play an active role in the Brunei Vision 2035 Supreme Council, especially by promoting the country's economic and trade growth through diplomatic relations, strategic cooperation, and international investment.
Subsequently, other appointed ministers and deputy ministers were also sworn in.
