(Kuala Belait, 4th) The Kuala Belait Foochow Association today held a grand New Year’s celebration at its hall, including a members’ assembly and the presentation of academic excellence scholarships for members’ children.
The event began in the morning, with a series of programs and ceremonies hosted by the emcee, including a speech by Chairman Huang Linming, presentation of attendance awards, tea refreshments, and the 2025 Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards Ceremony for members’ children. Award-winning student representatives also took the stage to express their gratitude for the association’s long-term emphasis and support for education.
During the assembly, all members took a group photo and commemorative gifts were distributed to children, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Afterwards, the members’ assembly was held to present the administrative and financial reports as well as discuss related proposals. The event concluded harmoniously, followed by a luncheon.
Guests in attendance included Permanent Honorary Presidents Lin Guangxiang and Zheng Bingguang, Permanent Honorary Advisor Huang Rencai, Honorary Advisors Bao Pingsheng and Zhang Rongshun, and members of the board.
