(Miri, 3rd) RTM Sarawak 2025 Ramadan Integrated Tour officially set sail today, with the flag-off ceremony officiated by Sarawak Broadcasting Director Wan Azhan. The convoy will head to Kampung Pejuang Kelulit in Bekenu for a charity activity. The departure ceremony was held at 10 am in front of the RTM Miri building.
Before heading to the main destination, the convoy first visited the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) Miri Regional Complex to attend the Petron Malaysia Flood Relief Donation Ceremony, aiding residents affected by the floods earlier this year.
This event is part of the 2025 Ramadan Integrated Tour, marking the second year of collaboration between Petron Malaysia and RTM, under the theme "Sharing Blessings, Spreading Joy," providing warmth to those in need.
During the donation ceremony, Petron Malaysia provided 106 aid packages, with 61 packages distributed to fishermen and 45 packages given to community residents in Miri. A total of 350 aid packages were distributed across Sarawak, covering Bintulu, Sibu, and Miri regions. Each aid package, valued at over RM200, includes essential items to alleviate the burden on affected families.
The aid packages were handed over by Petron's Senior Business Advisor Commercial Business Anthony P. Juin, along with Sarawak Broadcasting Director Wan Azhan, representatives from LKIM Miri Region, and Miri District Office.
The 2025 Ramadan Integrated Tour was launched at Petron Ulam North, Sabah, on February 28 and is expected to cross 14 locations nationwide, concluding in Melaka on March 20. Last year, the event benefited nearly 20,000 people across 13 states, and Petron Malaysia hopes to assist more communities in need this year.
Guests at the event included RTM Radio Coordination and Scheduling Assistant Director Abdul Razak Ahmad, LKIM Miri Regional Officer Nor Shazana Zulkefli, Miri District Officer Edward Tawang, and Miri Fishermen's Association Chairman Okong Sulip.
