(Kuching, 15th) After clinching victory in the EFC event in Singapore, Sarawak’s rising Muay Thai star Emylia Lynn Ghazali, known as Mia, has set her sights on an even bigger goal—to win gold at the 2026 Malaysia Games (Sukma).
This 15-year-old young fighter from Rentap Muay Thai Gym claimed the women’s 42kg title at the EFC event, held last Saturday (July 11) at the Muay Thai Festival 5 at SCAPE Playspace, Singapore.
In a statement today, Mia said that the victory in Singapore has greatly boosted her confidence as she prepares for the 2026 Sukma Games, and she hopes to bring glory to Sarawak when the time comes.
After her win, Mia didn’t pause—instead, she went straight back to training. Currently, she is undergoing intensive training under the guidance of the Rentap Muay Thai Gym coaching team, preparing to represent Sarawak and compete in the 2026 Malaysia Games this August.
Despite her young age, Mia has continued to make a mark on the Muay Thai scene, and this latest victory further adds to her growing list of achievements.
The championship she won in Singapore is expected to be an important motivation as she embarks on the final preparations for the Sukma Games. Next, she will continue to refine her techniques and strengthen her determination to face upcoming challenges.
With the countdown to the Sukma Games entering a critical phase, Mia remains steadfast in her pursuit of the top prize, hoping to stand on the highest podium and win a gold medal for Sarawak.
