Leader of the opposition in Parliament, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, believes that the Court of Appeal's approval of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib's appeal for a judicial review regarding the additional order for home imprisonment proves that someone deliberately concealed this matter.

In a statement on Monday (January 6th), he said that concealing the additional order issued by the 16th King, Sultan Abdullah, violates the government's principle of transparency, and he bluntly stated that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar pretended not to know of the existence of the document.

"The Prime Minister could not possibly be unaware of the additional order issued by the King. The Prime Minister must take full responsibility for executing the King's orders, including the additional order."

"As Prime Minister, he has sworn allegiance to the King and the Federal Constitution. Any non-compliance, concealment, or denial of the King's orders is a great disobedience to the King and the country."

On Monday (6th), the Court of Appeal approved Najib's appeal for a judicial review regarding the existence of an additional order for home imprisonment and referred the case back to the Kuala Lumpur High Court for trial.

Judges Datuk Azahar and Datuk Seri Mohamad Firuz agreed with Najib's appeal, overturning the High Court's decision to reject his judicial review application. However, the chief of the three-judge panel, Datuk Aziah, disagreed, stating that Najib's appeal lacked grounds.

Aziah also rejected Najib's application to submit additional evidence to support his claim, but Azahar and Mohamad Firuz allowed Najib's application for this.
