South Korean mega group BTS was rocked by another shocking rumor late at night on Singles’ Day (November 11), just months after Jimin’s past relationship with Song Da-eun made headlines this August! Photos purportedly showing Jungkook bringing a girlfriend home suddenly surfaced on social media, along with alleged secretly-taken videos of the two hugging. In a short time, the content attracted more than 380,000 views. This marks the second BTS member to be caught up in dating rumors within a year, sending ARMYs (the fandom) worldwide into a frenzy. However, some netizens have suspected that the photos are AI-generated fakes. In fact, some saesang fans even posted video footage showing Jungkook returning home alone, contradicting the rumors. As a result, fans found themselves both condemning the invasion of privacy and, unexpectedly, feeling relieved at the same time—all because of the saesang behavior.
A netizen posted on X three photos allegedly showing Jungkook bringing a woman home, as well as a video where the two appear to be playfully hugging inside. The source boasted, “There are even clearer new photos of Jungkook holding his one-night stand’s hand as they walk into his Cheongdam-dong home,” and slammed him for “saying he didn’t have a girlfriend when he changed partners twice in 2023.” The post has so far surpassed 3.83 million views, leaving fans shocked and causing heated discussion.
However, some fans believe these images are clearly AI-generated fakes, especially since Jungkook has a positive image and few tabloid scandals, so they remain skeptical of the claims. Meanwhile, others—apparently saesang fans—posted secretly filmed videos from different angles to clarify that “Jungkook went home alone and didn’t bring a girl.” Only then could ARMYs breathe a little easier. It’s worth noting that Korean media have not reported on the rumors from X, and the management agency has not provided any response, so the authenticity of the photos remains uncertain.
