(US, 22nd) US President Trump will address the nation from the White House at 10pm Eastern Time on Saturday, June 21 (10am Singapore time on Sunday), regarding the airstrikes on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility.
According to Fox News, the US dropped six “bunker buster” bombs targeting Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility. Fordow is one of Iran’s key uranium enrichment sites.
Sources indicate that after the US launched airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, President Trump immediately spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, likely to discuss the progress of the operation and the subsequent regional situation.
Earlier, Trump posted on social media that on Saturday, US forces struck three sites inside Iran, marking the first direct US strike on Iran’s nuclear assets amid the Israel-Iran conflict.
Trump said Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan were hit in this operation. He specifically described dropping “full payload bombs” on Fordow.
Trump described the operation as "very successful," adding that the aircraft involved had left Iranian airspace and were “safely returning home.” “There is no other military in the world that could have achieved this. Now is the time to realize peace!”
