(US, 22nd) US President Trump stated on the 21st, Eastern Time, that the United States has bombed three of Iran's nuclear facilities, claiming that no other military in the world could accomplish this; however, this also goes against Trump's earlier announcement that he would decide whether to attack Iran in two weeks.
Previously, US media had analyzed that the “two weeks” may not be an exact timeframe, since Trump often sets a “two-week” deadline when facing similar difficult decisions.
After confirming that US forces struck Iran’s nuclear facilities, Trump shared a screenshot of a post by Open Source Intel on the social media platform X, which stated that “Fordow no longer exists.”
On the 21st, Trump posted consecutively, first confirming that US forces launched a “very successful attack” on Iran’s nuclear facilities including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, and also revealing that currently all US military aircraft have left Iranian airspace.
Trump also announced that he would deliver a national address at 10 p.m. local time on the 21st (10 a.m. Malaysian time on the 22nd).
