(Miri, 29th) The Pei Min Middle School table tennis team delivered an outstanding performance in the "2026 Sarawak Junior Table Tennis Championship," securing 1 championship, 1 runner-up, and 1 third place, bringing honor to their school.
The tournament, organized by the Sarawak Table Tennis Association, was held in Kuching from April 24 to April 26.
In the Girls Under-15 Singles category, Zhang Yujie shone brightly and clinched the championship; in the Boys Under-15 Singles, Zheng Ruiheng won the runner-up, while Yang Enhong took the third place.
Principal Bei Meijiao said that the students demonstrated not only technical prowess in the competition, but also the results of persistent training and excellent sportsmanship. These achievements are inseparable from the students' daily hard work and the coaches' meticulous guidance.
Additionally, Zhang Yujie, Zheng Ruiheng, and Yang Enhong will represent Sarawak at the 44th National Junior Table Tennis Championship, to be held in Sabah from September 16 to September 20.
Bei Meijiao expressed her heartfelt delight and wished the three athletes further success at higher-level competitions, to continue bringing glory to both the school and Sarawak.
