Pasukan Polis Marin Wilayah 5 Miri uncovered a diesel smuggling case during an operation conducted yesterday on the Lutong and Kuala Baram highway.
The marine police intercepted a pickup truck at around 2 PM on the 7th of this month at the said location and seized diesel worth 3,800 RM.
It is reported that the confiscated items, including the pickup truck and diesel, have a total value of 78,000 RM.
All the seized items by the police will be handed over to the Kementerian perdagangan dalam negeri(KPDN) for investigation.
The police found illegal fuel dispensing devices in the vehicle.
