Huang Guolun and Kou Naixin attended a real estate press conference yesterday, where they were invited to serve as "Dream Malacca Image Ambassadors." The couple has gained significant experience in investment in recent years, owning real estate and land in Taiwan as well as in Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The total estimated value exceeds 500 million New Taiwan Dollars (about 6.193 million Malaysian Ringgit).
Huang Guolun said he has thought about selling his guitar collection, worth several million New Taiwan Dollars (about several hundred thousand Malaysian Ringgit), to reinvest in real estate. Kou Naixin, sitting beside him, was overjoyed at hearing this and playfully waved her hands, saying that guitars just take up space: "Buying property appreciates in value more!"
Huang Guolun and Kou Naixin purchased property in Kuala Lumpur as early as 2012, and in recent years, have bought more houses in Malaysia. It's estimated that they own around 8 properties. They shared that rental income alone in recent years has brought them considerable profit. "It's resistant to market downturns and retains value, and we're very happy with the rental income. We’re also planning to sell our Kuala Lumpur property, so we could buy about three or four units in Malacca."
Huang Guolun jokingly said this is his first time in life being upgraded to a "tycoon," and that it only takes four hours to fly from Taiwan to Malaysia, with no language barriers. Kou Naixin also mentioned her parents are considering retiring there.
