"Short-haired goddess" Gigi Leung enters the age of knowing destiny today. On Facebook, she shared birthday photos, showing her sweet smile with her chin propped in her hand, makeup-free, and a table full of cakes waiting for her to cut. Quoting lyrics from her 25-year-old Cantonese song "25," she wrote, "On my 50th, I can clap and appreciate the past," sharing her feelings on the first day of turning 50. She also joked that waking up naturally was the best birthday gift.

Leung expressed her thanks for everyone's blessings: "I'd like to send all the blessings to friends who are going through hardships, illness, and pain. May you be free from suffering and worry, and may all be safe and well."

She recently went to Chicago, USA with director Wong Pak Kei and the film "We 12". The film was selected as the opening film of the 20th Asian Pop-Up Cinema at the Chicago Film Festival, and she received the "Outstanding Actor Award" from the festival. Receiving such recognition on the eve of her birthday was deeply meaningful to her. This year also marks her 30th anniversary in the industry, and she is attempting a bigger breakthrough: in July, she will star in the stage play "She Who We Became" in Shanghai. The play is adapted from the classic novel "Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982" by South Korean writer Cho Nam-joo.
