43-year-old American actor Alan Ritchson, known for starring in the series 'Reacher', was recently photographed assaulting his neighbor in the street, continuing to punch his opponent even after he collapsed to the ground. However, he has now been deemed to have acted in self-defense and will not face criminal charges.
According to various foreign media reports, this neighborhood dispute occurred on March 21. Alan Ritchson was riding bicycles with his two sons in their residential area—a behavior that had previously caused noise complaints from neighbors. This time, neighbor Ronnie Taylor lost his patience, rushed out to block and scold them, and demanded Alan Ritchson stop disturbing the neighborhood. He also allegedly pushed Ritchson.
Alan Ritchson immediately retaliated, knocking Taylor to the ground and continuing to assault him, repeatedly punching Taylor while his two sons looked on. Afterwards, Ritchson led his sons away, continuing their ride, while Taylor, who had bruises on his face from the beating, returned home disgruntled.
Other neighbors recorded footage of Alan Ritchson's violent behavior, but both Ritchson and other witnesses stated that Taylor first stopped his bike and initiated physical contact, which led to the altercation. Law enforcement authorities ruled that Ritchson acted only in self-defense and confirmed he will not be prosecuted: "Mr. Ritchson's actions have been determined to be self-defense."
