Magazine Covers Ignite Battle: Dilraba Dilmurat and Liu Yifei Fans in Explosive War of Words

Published at Aug 17, 2026 05:03 pm
Xinjiang goddess Dilraba Dilmurat has been a hot topic recently, and her fans have erupted in a fierce online quarrel with fans of another top celebrity, Liu Yifei. The incident began when both celebrities appeared separately on the covers of different fashion magazines, prompting their respective fandoms to compare the two and argue over who is “the true top star” in China’s entertainment industry. In addition, the two fan communities had already clashed last year over a magazine cover issue, and this new event has escalated their long-standing conflict.

During the heated exchange, box office performance became the central point of attack. Some Dilraba fans highlighted her participation in the movie “Kung Fu Football Girls,” which grossed a remarkable 2.293 billion RMB (about 1.38 billion MYR), using this to mock the total box office of only 2.842 billion RMB (about 1.71 billion MYR) for all 17 of Liu Yifei’s movies. They also brought up the box office failure of Liu Yifei’s starring film “Mulan,” questioning her ability to “carry the box office.” In response, Liu Yifei’s fans quickly fought back, pointing out that Dilraba was not the leading actress in “Kung Fu Football Girls,” crediting the box office success mainly to Zhang Xiaofei, and cast doubts on Dilraba’s acting skills.

Beyond online fan battles, Dilraba herself is also facing internal pressure. Many fans have openly criticized her team’s stylist for incompetence, claiming her red carpet looks are long stuck in a rut of chiffon gowns and lack innovation, demanding the studio replace the team. So far, the studio has chosen to remain silent in the face of fans’ strong demands, and the dissatisfaction among the fans continues to grow.
