(Kuala Belait, 4th) The Royal Brunei Police Force, Kuala Belait Police District, conducted a joint enforcement operation at two locations in Kuala Belait—Jalan Kuala Balai and Jalan Pandan 5.
This operation was led by District Criminal Investigation Officer Superintendent Mohamad Izzuddin Hanees, involving 59 police officers and personnel from the Kuala Belait police district, Religious Enforcement Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Internal Security Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, and the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
During the operation, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested two men suspected of drug abuse. At the same time, the Royal Customs and Excise Department uncovered 14 violation cases, with 12 suspects believed to be in possession of prohibited items, including 73 packets of various brand cigarettes and one electronic cigarette.
The police will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with other law enforcement agencies to jointly combat illegal activities. The authorities also urge the public to provide any information regarding suspicious activities to the relevant departments.
