(Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th) The Brunei Fuzhou Shiyi Association will grandly host its “14th Anniversary Celebration and Mid-Autumn Gala” on September 27 (Sunday), and will also present the 2025 Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards for members’ children at the same event. At that time, association members and fellow folks will gather to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, strengthen community bonds, and discuss the development of the Association.
Under the leadership of President Dr. Liu Shiquan, the organizing committee has been actively preparing for the event. The Vice Executive Chairman of the Organizing Committee is Xu Xiangyou, with Vice Chairmen: Chen Shuqing, Huang Nenglun, Bao Pingsheng, Wu Hourong, Secretary Liu Kunchang, and Treasurer Li Shiying. The rest of the committee members will be announced later, each fulfilling their roles to ensure the success of the evening. Dr. Liu Shiquan stated that although he has organized various banquets in the past three years of his term, this will be the first major banquet event promoted in the past three years. The scholarship covers kindergarten, primary, secondary, university preparatory, and undergraduate stages, aiming to recognize outstanding academic achievements of members’ children and inspire the younger generation to strive for excellence. Lin Binli emphasized that the Association has always valued education and hopes that through these awards, members' children will be encouraged to study diligently and contribute more outstanding talents to both the Fuzhou community and the country. The application deadline is August 28. Eligible applicants are urged to submit their application forms and supporting documents as soon as possible; late submissions will not be accepted.
