An appalling sex crime occurred in Tokyo, Japan: a man claiming to practice 'polygamy' allegedly conspired with his wife and adopted daughter to lure over a hundred women into having sex, secretly filming them during the acts and uploading the footage to adult websites for profit. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police recently took action, arresting the three suspects and seizing over 800 obscene videos from their electronic devices.
According to Japanese media outlet Asahi Shimbun, the three suspects arrested had no fixed residence or occupation. They are identified as 39-year-old Youhei Ono, his 28-year-old wife Haruka Ono, and their 23-year-old adopted daughter Rin Ono. Police investigations revealed that Youhei Ono lived with the two women and outwardly claimed to practice 'polygamy.'
According to the case, the three suspects allegedly connected with a woman in her 20s via social media last July and, on July 7, met her at a hotel in Shinjuku Ward. Youhei Ono had sexual relations with the victim while the other two female suspects secretly filmed from the side. This took place between 11:40 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. They subsequently uploaded the footage to paid adult websites.
During the search, police seized 37 smartphones and computers from the suspects' home, discovering approximately 860 obscene videos involving about 100 women, indicating a large number of victims.
Youhei Ono confessed to the charges during trial, stating that he had been uploading such videos for about 2 years and 3 months, estimating profits of over 50 million yen (1,312,700 Malaysian Ringgit). His wife and adopted daughter, however, remained silent.
It is worth noting that this was not Youhei Ono's first arrest. In November last year, he was arrested by Tokyo Metropolitan Police for illegal confinement. At that time, he was suspected of meeting a teenage girl through social media and detaining her in an apartment in Shinjuku Ward for a month, even threatening to kill her if she tried to escape. The girl eventually sought help from Osaka police, which exposed the incident.
The Metropolitan Police believe that the suspects used social media to contact victims and engaged in organized crime, and are currently investigating whether there are more female victims.
