The “I AM GLORIA” 2.0 Nanchang encore concert was recently held, where G.E.M. announced a major milestone live on stage—she has set a brand new record for the most stadium shows by a female artist in a single tour worldwide. This remarkable achievement was met with waves of cheers from her fans.
During the interactive chit-chat segment, G.E.M. joyfully shared the record-breaking news of her tour with her fans and continued her tour's tradition of a group 'cheers' at the opening, joking: “On such a special occasion today, we definitely have to toast, right!” As of that evening, the number of stadium shows for the “I AM GLORIA” themed tour had reached 150, surpassing Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour,” which had 149 shows, thus successfully breaking the record and topping the historical chart for this category.
That night, G.E.M.’s studio posted that it has been 16 years since her first performance of “You Raise Me Up” at Hong Kong Coliseum. At 19, G.E.M. was grateful for her family's support and nurturing, allowing her to shine on stage; now, approaching 35, she is thankful for all the love she has encountered along her journey, which has given her the capacity to love as she does today. On the night she set the record, what touched her most was not her personal achievement, but looking back and realizing how much she has grown through love, receiving understanding and the courage to face challenges. G.E.M. is the first female singer to unlock performances at all five major stadiums in China, and is also one of the top-grossing female artists for global concert tours. This tour began in December 2023, and in nearly three years has spanned across 3 continents and 7 countries.
