Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met U.S. Presidential Envoy Whitcock in Jerusalem on the 3rd. According to Israeli media reports, Israel is requesting 'freedom of action' from the United States regarding the Iran issue.

Media reports indicate that the meeting between the two sides lasted over three hours. Netanyahu emphasized to Whitcock that the promises made by Iran are 'not trustworthy.' The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation said that Israel's demands include Iran halting production of ballistic missiles that pose a threat to Israel and stopping uranium enrichment activities.

The report stated that Whitcock also met that day with Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Zamir, Mossad Director Barnea, and other senior officials from security agencies.

Multiple media outlets anticipate that Whitcock and Iranian Foreign Minister Aragchi will meet on the 6th, seeking to defuse U.S.-Iran tensions through diplomatic means.

According to Israeli media, in addition to the Iran issue, Netanyahu and Whitcock also discussed the second-phase ceasefire agreement for Gaza. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement pointing out that Netanyahu stressed that before the reconstruction of Gaza begins, Hamas must first be disarmed, Gaza must achieve comprehensive demilitarization, and Israel’s established war objectives must be completed. These are non-negotiable positions for Israel.

Netanyahu also emphasized to Whitcock that the Palestinian Authority will not participate in Gaza's future governance in any form.
