Chinese citizens evacuated from Iran gathered at the Astara border crossing in southern Azerbaijan on the 1st, preparing to take a bus to the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.
On March 1st, 18 Chinese citizens were evacuated from Iran and entered Azerbaijan through the Astara border crossing in southern Azerbaijan.
Xinhua News Agency reporters saw at the border crossing that at around 14:30 local time, the evacuees from Iran began to enter Azerbaijan one after another via the Astara crossing. At around 16:30 local time, a bus arranged by the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan carrying the first group of Chinese citizens who had entered Azerbaijan departed from the crossing.
