As of 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd, due to heavy fog, all four 'Mini Three Links' passenger ferry routes—Xiamen to Kinmen, Quanzhou to Kinmen, Fuzhou Mawei to Matsu, and Lianjiang Huangqi to Matsu—have been suspended.
On this day, heavy fog occurred along the Fujian coast, with visibility in many port areas dropping below 1,000 meters.
The Fujian Maritime Affairs Department has activated a Level II fog prevention response, implementing maritime traffic controls at multiple ports. During the control period, vessels are suspended from entering and exiting ports. Once visibility in the port areas improves, the maritime controls will be lifted in a timely manner to restore maritime traffic and port operations as quickly as possible.
The Fujian Maritime Safety Administration reminds that heavy fog is causing insufficient visibility at sea. All vessels should anchor safely and orderly, strengthen watchkeeping and duty, maintain smooth communication, refrain from taking risks to depart, and beware of ship collision accidents.
According to statistics, during the Spring Festival holiday, nearly 47,000 passengers traveled on the cross-strait 'Mini Three Links' passenger ferry routes, including nearly 40,000 passengers on the Xiamen-Kinmen route.
