The latest update has finally emerged regarding the inheritance distribution and real estate arrangements after the passing of Barbie Hsu (Xu Xiyuan). The luxury home in Taipei's Xinyi District, where she once lived, officially completed the inheritance registration and transfer on July 22. The property is now jointly owned by her current husband Koo Jun Yup and her two underage children, Yue'er and Linlin, with each of the three acquiring a one-third share of the ownership. This officially puts an end to longstanding concerns about the property being auctioned.
This top-floor unit in 'Taipei Xinyi' was purchased by Barbie Hsu in 2016 for NT$362 million (approximately RM45.75 million), and its current market value has risen to NT$460 million (about RM58.14 million). According to lawyers, by law, spouses and children are first in line for inheritance, so the three share it equally. Since the two children are still minors, the related inheritance registration and follow-up property management procedures are, in practice, handled by their legal guardian Wang Xiaofei. In addition, the completion of the transfer also means that the inheritance tax procedure has concluded.
Regarding the inventory of Barbie Hsu's estate and property inside the home, friends and family revealed that lawyers appointed by both Koo Jun Yup and Wang Xiaofei jointly catalogued, photographed, recorded, and notarized the items. Currently, all items in the house remain unchanged. Until the entire inheritance division process is fully completed, no property may be moved or disposed of without authorization, in order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all heirs.
