(Tehran, 30th) Iran’s Fars News Agency reported on Monday that satellite imagery shows U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain were struck by Iranian airstrikes.
According to Xinhua News Agency, satellite images indicate that Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base was hit four times. Comparing images before and after the attacks on March 22 and 29, the strikes resulted in the destruction of a refueling aircraft and an early warning aircraft at the base, and partial damage to a building.
Another set of satellite images reveal that the U.S. air base in Bahrain was hit by Iranian missile strikes, with multiple facilities damaged.
The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed officials, reported that Iranian missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base resulted in at least 12 U.S. soldiers being injured, two of whom are in serious condition.
The Iranian armed forces issued a warning on Sunday that the residences of U.S. and Israeli military commanders as well as political officials will also become legitimate targets for Iran’s strikes.
