2026 Drones Performance Debuts at Hong Kong Wan Chai Waterfront

(Hong Kong, 15th) — A large-scale drone show featuring 2026 drones took place on the night of the 14th at the Wan Chai waterfront in Hong Kong, bringing a festive and harmonious atmosphere in anticipation of the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse.

This event was organized by the Bauhinia Culture Group, hosted by Bauhinia Magazine, and supported by the Hong Kong Jiangsu Association, under the theme “Galloping Horses Welcome Spring · Bauhinia Celebrates the New Year.”

As the show began, a giant golden character “Horse” soared above Victoria Harbour, with 2026 drones changing formations in turn to display galloping steeds, blooming fireworks, auspicious lanterns, and other elements celebrating the Chinese New Year.

During the show, the ever-changing visuals included local landmarks such as the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, Lion Rock, and Victoria Harbour’s skyline, symbolizing that Hong Kong will forge ahead and lead in the Year of the Horse by harnessing the tremendous power of unity and expressing wishes for Hong Kong’s prosperity, stability, and happy lives for its residents. Patterns depicting “Taking the Lead” and “A Thousand Horses Galloping” appeared in succession, demonstrating the vibrant, collaborative spirit of Hong Kong society. The greeting “Wishing You Luck in the Year of the Horse” and brilliant drone fireworks illuminated the night sky, and the performance concluded amidst festive and cheerful music.

The show seamlessly blended the joy of traditional Spring Festival with the ingenuity of modern technology, sparking waves of cheers from local residents and tourists who all stopped to watch and take photos, capturing the beauty of the New Year's celebration in the Year of the Horse.
