(Washington, 15th) US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu have reached a consensus to work towards reducing Iran's oil exports to China.
The US news website Axios quoted US officials on the 14th as saying, "We are in complete agreement that we will do everything we can to exert maximum pressure on Iran, such as its oil sales to China."
China accounts for more than 80% of Iran's oil exports. Any reduction in oil trade with China will result in a decline in Iran's oil revenues.
Netanyahu met with Trump at the White House on the 11th. He is advocating for the US to take a tough stance in the nuclear negotiations, demanding that Iran not only give up developing nuclear weapons, but also abandon its ballistic missile program and stop supporting Hamas, the “Youths Movement,” and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
US President Trump confirmed that the "Ford" aircraft carrier strike group will be dispatched to the Middle East. This is the second aircraft carrier the US is sending to the region.
