Meteorological Bureau Issues Three-Day Forecast: Showers, Thunderstorms, and Moderate Sea Conditions

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 10th) The Brunei Meteorological Department today released the latest three-day weather forecast, indicating that intermittent showers or thunderstorms are expected across multiple regions nationwide starting from today. The public is urged to remain vigilant, especially when engaging in outdoor or marine activities.

The Meteorological Bureau stated that for today, Monday, and Tuesday, the maximum daytime temperature will be around 31°C, while the minimum nighttime temperature will range between 23°C and 24°C, with overall little variation in temperature.

Regarding wind conditions, it is expected that in the mornings and at night, the wind will mainly come from the southeast or southwest at speeds of approximately 5 to 15 km/h; in the afternoons, the wind will shift to the southwest or northwest with increased speeds of 10 to 25 km/h.

Sea condition forecasts show that the sea state will be moderate over the next few days, with wave heights around 1.2 to 1.8 meters. The Meteorological Bureau reminds operators of small vessels and those engaging in recreational or water sports to be particularly cautious, as risks remain for such activities.

Additionally, the Meteorological Bureau has issued a safety reminder that during heavy rainfall, low-lying and flood-prone areas may face sudden risks of flash floods; near showers or thunderstorms, gusts may reach speeds of up to 45 km/h.
