(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd (Freme Travel) celebrates its 55th anniversary this year, marking an important milestone for the company’s deep roots and over half a century of service in Brunei’s tourism and travel industry.
To commemorate this special occasion, Freme Travel specially planned and organized its corporate social responsibility (CSR) event, “A Flight to Remember,” giving children a meaningful and unforgettable experience.
The event saw the participation of 100 children aged between 7 and 15, including orphans registered under the Community Development Department (JAPEM) and children from the Social Welfare Assistance group.
For many of the participating children, this was their first time flying in an airplane. Freme Travel specially arranged an approximately one-hour flight departing from Brunei International Airport, allowing the children to personally experience what it’s like to fly. The flight was supported and assisted by Royal Brunei Airlines.
The event was also supported and coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the Community Development Department (JAPEM), and Royal Brunei Airlines.
Freme Travel expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all government agencies, partners, and relevant parties who participated in the event, thanking everyone for their support and cooperation to make this special charity event possible.
The event began with a welcome ceremony at Brunei International Airport, attended by guests including the Acting Director of the Community Development Department, Yang Mulia Dayang Fauziah Binti Haji Mohd Salleh, and Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd Executive Director Pg Dato Paduka Osman Bin Pg Hj Patra.
After the welcome ceremony and speeches, the children experienced each step of flying in person, including checking in at the airport, departure procedures, boarding, takeoff, and enjoying aerial views of Brunei.
Before takeoff, the organizers provided snacks for the children; upon landing, the children enjoyed lunch.
Freme Travel pointed out that this event was more than just a flying experience but also a chance to create cherished and beautiful memories for the children, hoping this special experience would accompany them for years to come.
