(Miri, 11th) The Sarawak government is committed to helping women entrepreneurs improve their living standards and ensuring they receive fair and equitable opportunities in economic development.

Sarawak's Deputy Minister for Women, Children and Community Development, Dato' Rosey Yunus, stated that this initiative not only provides financial support to female entrepreneurs but also strengthens the state's economic network.

She pointed out that through various aids and grants, the hope is to help more women improve their lives through sustainable and competitive businesses.

The "Sarawak Women's Empowerment Roadshow 2025 Miri Station" brings together local leaders, government officials, and female entrepreneurs to discuss grants and assistance provided by the Sarawak Women and Family Development Department (JWKS).

She said the program aims to empower women in Sarawak and provides information on the application conditions and procedures for the 'NGO Empowerment Grant,' 'Sarawak Women Household Head Assistance Program (KIRWaS),' and 'Women's Entrepreneurship Empowerment Fund.'

Rosey made these remarks during her attendance at the roadshow in the Serbong Community Hall on Monday.

As the State Assembly Member (ADUN Bekenu) in the Serbong district, she added that the meeting also emphasized the importance of monitoring the progress of aid beneficiaries to ensure the most effective use of government grants.

"The Sarawak Women's Empowerment Roadshow will continue in other areas of the state to ensure more women benefit from government-initiated measures."

Attendees included community leaders and village head representatives (KMKK), various women's non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and women entrepreneurs engaged in full-time or part-time business.
