KUCHING: The Biro Wanita SABERKAS Negeri Sarawak will be hosting a much-awaited empowerment event, titled ‘Groomed & Gorgeous – A Journey to Confidence’, on Sunday (Aug 17) at the Borneo Cultures Museum Auditorium.
Organised under the leadership of its chairperson, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, the programme aims to inspire women to embrace self-confidence through personal grooming, style, and self-expression.
“We are honoured to welcome Mama G to Sarawak. Her presence will undoubtedly inspire our participants to embrace their uniqueness and walk with confidence,” Sharifah said through a press statement yesterday (Aug12).
The highlight of the event is a keynote session by Gillian Hung, affectionately known as Mama G, a trailblazer in the Malaysian fashion industry.
With decades of experience as a designer, mentor, and president of the Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA), Gillian will share her insights on how fashion and self-image can empower women from all walks of life.
“Confidence begins with how you see yourself and fashion is one of the most powerful tools to express that inner strength,” she said.
The programme will also feature interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at uplifting women in both urban and rural communities.
