The 2026 press center for China's "Two Sessions" officially began operations at the Beijing Media Center on the 27th, providing news services for Chinese and foreign journalists.
The fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress and the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee will open in Beijing on March 5th and March 4th, respectively. At present, more than 3,000 reporters from home and abroad have registered to cover the Two Sessions, including over 2,000 domestic reporters and 1,000 reporters from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries.
According to a report by China News Service, on-site sources revealed that the press conference hall and interview rooms at the press center are ready. This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan. During the Two Sessions, press conferences and a series of interview activities on topics such as the economy, people's livelihood, and diplomacy will be held at the news center. In response to hot topics of concern at home and abroad, responsible officials from relevant departments will attend press conferences and answer questions from the media.
Domestic reporters' group, foreign reporters' group, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan reporters' group have all made service preparations. On the day, media outlets arrived one after another to collect relevant press credentials. A refreshment area has also been set up on site for Chinese and foreign reporters.
