(Kuching, 15th) A man suddenly suffered a stroke yesterday while on a mountain at the Tse Chen Samten Ling Retreat Centre on FAC Road, Matang. Fortunately, he was safely sent to the hospital with the help of firefighters.
According to the Sarawak Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre (PGO), the Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Petra Jaya) received an emergency call at 4:28 pm yesterday, and a team led by Senior Fireman Rahman Abang Deni (PBK I Rahman Abang Deni) immediately rushed to the scene.
"Upon arrival, the man was found to be in a semi-conscious state and required immediate assistance.
"The EMRS (Emergency Medical Rescue Services) team first stabilized the man before carrying him from the monastery's mountainous area down to the main entrance," the statement said.
The 38-year-old man was then handed over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) team for further treatment.
This operation involved 8 team members and one FRT fire engine, and it concluded smoothly after the man was handed over to the hospital.
