(Miri, 15th) A woman was left in shock last night after discovering a cobra hiding inside her kitchen cabinet at home.
According to the Sarawak Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Center (PGO), the Lutong Fire Station (BBP Lutong) received an emergency call at 7:22 pm last night. Fire officer PBK II Faizul immediately led a team to the scene at Lorong Desa Senadin.
“Upon arriving at the scene at 7:29 pm, team members found a cobra hiding in the kitchen cabinet.
“The commander assessed the situation and quickly used snake-catching equipment to capture the highly venomous reptile,” the department said in a statement.
The snake-catching operation was completed smoothly in a short period of time; no one was injured and no accidents occurred during the process.
After confirming the environment was safe, the fire team released the cobra back to its natural habitat.
The operation ended at 7:50 pm and the members returned to the fire station at 8:03 pm.
