(Miri, 15th) The Director of the Miri Police District, ACP Alexson Naga, stated that with the approaching Chinese New Year festival, residents who are not home for extended periods are encouraged to report to the police, enabling the police to enhance patrols.

He mentioned that residents could report to the nearest police station or use the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) app.

Alexson Naga made this statement during a speech at the Miri Police District's January monthly assembly held at the Miri Police Headquarters.

"During the festive season, people driving back to their hometowns should be careful and plan their journeys early to ensure a safe trip."

He also urged all Miri residents to continuously cooperate with the police by providing information, allowing the police to perform their duties effectively.
