Lin Shuqiang: The 35th Anniversary is a New Beginning, Heling Club Should Keep Up with the Times

(Miri, 2nd) – The Permanent Honorary Advisor of the Miri Fuzhou Heling Club, Dato Lin Shuqiang, stated that the achievements over the past thirty-five years have not come easily and are wholly attributed to the unity and hard work of the club’s past leaders and members.
He made these remarks last night while delivering a speech at the club’s 35th Anniversary Celebration Dinner held at the five-star banquet hall of the Imperial Palace Grand Hotel.
He said that, although 35 years is not a short period, it is merely a new starting point. The club must keep pace with the trends of the times, continue to innovate and adapt, in order to avoid being left behind. "We must know how to make good use of the convenience offered by social media, read news, share knowledge, and also enrich our lives through activities like singing, painting, and playing chess."

He pointed out that, as people grow older, besides maintaining physical health, it is even more important to focus on mental well-being and pursue a balanced life. “One must keep active—work, learn, and move as one ages—in the end, only then can one smile and complete life’s journey.”
Lin Shuqiang emphasized that over the past 35 years, the Heling Club has left behind many precious memories. In the future, he hopes all members will continue to promote the spirit of unity, proactively embrace new challenges, and enable the club to advance toward even greater future development in a healthy and vibrant atmosphere.
