A wedding invitation has been circulating widely on the Chinese internet recently. The invitation, sent by Gao Jifan and Wu Chunyan, founders of Chinese solar products company Trina Solar, invites guests to attend the wedding of groom Zhang Junjie and bride Gao Haichun.
Some individuals familiar with the matter have confirmed the authenticity of the invitation: the couple are Bawang Tea Ji’s founder Zhang Junjie and Trina Solar’s Gao Haichun.
Gao Haichun is the daughter of Gao Jifan and Wu Chunyan, born in 1993. She graduated from Brown University in the United States and is hailed as “the most beautiful PV (photovoltaic) second generation” and “the photovoltaic goddess.”
Public information shows that since December 2024, Gao Haichun has served as President of Trina Solar’s Solution Business Group. On January 3 this year, she became Co-Chairwoman of Trina Solar.
Zhang Junjie, who was born in the 1990s and whose original name is Zhang Jun, is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Bawang Tea Ji. According to Bawang Tea Ji’s official website, the brand was established in Yunnan in November 2017, and the number of stores has surpassed 6,000.
As of press time, Trina Solar’s total market value is about 42.69 billion RMB (24.964 billion MYR); Bawang Tea Ji’s total market value is about 2.61 billion USD (18.57 billion RMB or 10.86 billion MYR). Based on this, the combined market value of the two listed companies is about 61.26 billion RMB (35.824 billion MYR). Neither Trina Solar nor Bawang Tea Ji has yet responded to the matter concerning the wedding invitation.
