This event was organized by the Brunei Chinese Chess Association as the Pehian Temenggong Dato Lim Teck Hup Memorial Cup 2026 Brunei National Chinese Chess Open, Men's Open Division.
Chess player Lin Ting'an won the runner-up, Du Yaxing claimed third place, Liu Guihua ranked fourth, Luo Xiaoliang took fifth place, and Ye Ruiguo came sixth.
The award ceremony was held last night at the private residence of Brunei Chinese Chess Association Chairman Chen Xianfu, hosted jointly by honorary advisors Dato Seri Sim Wei Xiang and honorary advisor Wei Bofo.
Invited honorary advisors present included Lin Dengcai, Han Baoding, and Lin Wenhua.
This year, a total of 6 players participated in the men's open category. After several exciting rounds of matches, the final awards were decided.
The champion received a prize of BND 400 and a trophy; the runner-up received BND 300 and a trophy; the third place received BND 200 and a trophy; the fourth, fifth, and sixth places each received BND 100 and a trophy.
