(Mukah, 26th) On Wednesday evening (March 25th), a residential fire broke out at Kampung Senau Lorong 3, with about 90% of two buildings destroyed, including a single-storey permanent residence and a birdhouse.
The Fire and Rescue Department stated that they received an emergency call at 4:01 pm and subsequently dispatched personnel from the Mukah Fire Station to the scene.
When firefighters arrived at 4:33 pm, they found both buildings already engulfed in flames.
The fire team used a 400-foot-long hose equipped with three nozzles, and adopted a relay pump system to draw water from a nearby hydrant and fire engine for extinguishing the fire.
The blaze was brought under control within a few minutes.
After firefighters confirmed the site was safe, the operation ended at 6:50 pm.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
