US Central Command announced on the 18th that, under the directive of President Trump, the US military has lifted the maritime blockade on all vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas as of that day.

After Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz in the early stages of the war, the US military also imposed a blockade on Iran. US Vice President Vance said that the US military has already allowed at least 12 vessels to pass through.

US Central Command issued a statement on social media, stating that the US military will no longer interfere with maritime transport activities to and from Iranian ports. All maritime blockade operations carried out by the US military have ceased.

The statement stressed that US Navy vessels will continue to be deployed in the relevant sea areas to ensure that the terms of the agreement are observed and enforced, and to maintain comprehensive effectiveness.

On the 17th, the United States and Iran signed the first phase of a memorandum of understanding. According to this document, the United States will begin to lift the maritime blockade and any acts of interference or obstruction against Iran immediately after the signing, and will fully lift the maritime blockade within 30 days.
