(Tehran, 6th) Iranian Islamic Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf wrote on social media on the 5th that US President Trump’s reckless actions are dragging the United States into hell, with every family deeply affected, and the entire Middle East being plunged into war because Trump insists on obeying Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s orders.
Ghalibaf stated that Trump cannot gain any benefit from war crimes, and said the only true solution is to respect the rights of the Iranian people and end this dangerous game.
According to US media reports, since Trump declared war on Iran, his approval ratings have hit new lows. As the war enters its second month, polls show that even Trump’s staunch supporters have begun to regret voting for him in the 2024 presidential election.
A poll jointly conducted by Strength in Numbers and Verasight illustrates this feeling of regret.
This survey shows that 13% of Trump supporters said they "very much" (5%) or "somewhat" (8%) regret voting for him, a rate double that among Kamala Harris supporters.
The sentiment of regret is particularly evident among Trump supporters under 30 years old (17%) and among Hispanic supporters (16%).
The proportion of Trump supporters expressing regret is not only double that of Kamala Harris supporters, but also much higher than the 6% to 7% shown in Washington Post and Ipsos polls from April and October of last year.
