Chung Hwa Middle School to Hold Chinese New Year Celebration and Awards Ceremony on Saturday to Honor Outstanding Student Achievements

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 5th) Chung Hwa Middle School Brunei will hold the 'Chung Hwa Jiayin Wu Year Chinese New Year Celebration and Awards Ceremony' at 9:30 am this Saturday, the 7th of this month, at the Peace Hall on campus, bringing together all teachers, students and guests to welcome the Spring Festival and recognize students who have performed excellently in academics and various competitions.
This year’s celebration has specially invited Chairman Yang Dezhen as the guest of honor, who will preside over the ceremony and add splendor to the event.
The event will start at 9:00 am with students and teachers entering the venue, followed by the arrival of board members and other distinguished guests. Guest of Honor Chairman Yang Dezhen is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 am, after which the national anthem will be played and Principal Xu Yuelan will deliver a welcome speech, followed by a Chinese New Year address from the guest of honor.

During the ceremony, the school will present awards for the 14th Brunei-wide Chinese Campus Literature Writing Competition 2025, the 6th General Knowledge Competition, the 2025 Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (Chinese Proficiency Test), and several other achievements, in recognition of students' efforts and accomplishments in academic and cultural fields. The event will also feature a moment of gratitude, cultural performances, a group photo session, and will conclude with a banquet for guests, wrapping up in a warm and festive atmosphere.
Through the celebration and awards ceremony, Chung Hwa Middle School not only carries forward the spirit of Chinese traditional festivals, but also encourages students to be diligent in their studies and achieve even greater success in the new year.
