(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th Jan) Universiti Brunei Darussalam yesterday launched the 2024/2025 academic session orientation week for students enrolling in January 2025 at the UBD Chancellor Hall.
It is reported that this year, the university has a total of 377 new students, including 10 who will pursue doctoral degrees, 118 master's degree students, 174 bachelor's degree students, 26 students selected for the Unibridge program, 9 lifelong learning micro-credential students, and 40 non-graduating students.
From yesterday until January 10, 2025, the five-week orientation for new students is filled with various activities and informational sessions designed to help newcomers transition to university life.
Additionally, students will learn about the UBD Discovery Year program and various extracurricular activities to enhance their university experience.
The highlight of this year's orientation week is a mental health lecture and sessions on UBD's counseling services, aimed at promoting student well-being and emphasizing the university's commitment to supporting their mental health throughout their academic journey.
