Sued by Manufacturer for RM330,000, Tyson Yoshi Issues Urgent Statement to Clarify

Hong Kong trendsetting singer Tyson Yoshi (Cheng Chun Yin) was recently reported to have been sued by the company that produced the concert Blu-ray discs. According to the plaintiff manufacturer, both parties allegedly breached a cooperation agreement, prompting the manufacturer to seek HK$641,000 (about RM330,000) in payment for goods, storage fees, and interest from Tyson Yoshi and his two associated companies through court action.

According to the manufacturer’s lawsuit, both parties reached a cooperation agreement at the end of December 2025 to design and produce 1,000 sets of Blu-ray CD box sets for Tyson Yoshi’s “The Villain Live in Hong Kong” concert. The parties communicated via text, phone, and social media platforms, and the Tyson Yoshi party later confirmed and agreed to the order on January 7, 2026.

However, since the singer’s side failed to provide the necessary audio and video files in time, the product delivery period had to be postponed to March of the same year. After the manufacturer sent the invoice on February 7th, not only did the other party delay payment, but they also suddenly notified the manufacturer on February 24th that they were canceling the agreement and refused to accept the goods. The manufacturer believes this constitutes a breach of contract and has decided to pursue damages through legal channels. Facing a daunting lawsuit and public opinion, Tyson Yoshi promptly released an official statement on social media on the 9th, strongly refuting what he called false accusations, and stated that the case has been fully entrusted to his legal team for further handling and response. #
